Sheep Game: Poke-a-Sheep

This game is a bit unfriendly to sheep...

Nevertheless, if you want to poke sheep with your shephard's stick, you'll have fun. Just avoid the sheep on a pogo-stick (that's right) that they pogo all over you.

Have fun!

Sheep Joke: A Big Hole

Two guys are walking through the woods and come across this big deep
hole.
"Wow...that looks deep."

"Sure does... toss a few pebbles in there and see how deep it is."

They pick up a few pebbles and throw them in and wait... no noise.

"Jeeez. That is REALLY deep... here.. throw one of these great big rocks
down there. Those should make a noise."

They pick up a couple football-sized rocks and toss them into the hole
and wait... and wait. Nothing.

They look at each other in amazement. One gets a determined look on his
face and says, "Hey...over here in the weeds, there's a
railroad tie. Help me carry it over here. When we toss THAT sucker in,
it's GOTTA make some noise."

The two men drag the heavy tie over to the hole and heave it in. Not a
sound comes from the hole.

Suddenly, out of the nearby woods, a sheep appears, running like the
wind. It rushes toward the two men, then right past them,
running as fast as it's legs will carry it. Suddenly it leaps in the air
and into the hole.

The two men are astonished with what they've just seen...
Then, out of the woods comes a farmer who spots the men and ambles over.

Hey... you two guys seen my sheep out here?

You bet we did! Craziest thing I ever seen! It came running like crazy
and just jumped into this hole!

Nah, says the farmer, That couldn't have been MY sheep. My sheep was
chained to a railroad tie.

World Record: Most Sheep Sheared

Always liked shearing sheep at your local pet farm?
Well here's a challenge, try to beat the world record of sheep shearing in 24 hours.

In a 24-hour shearing marathon, New Zealand's Alan MacDonald and Keith Wilson machine-sheared 2,220 sheep at Warkworth, Auckland Province, New Zealand. The "Shearathon" commenced at 1 pm on 25 June 1988 and concluded at 1 pm on 26 June 1988. Their efforts raised more than $10,000 (NZ) for the Home and Neighborhood Trust.

That's whole lotta wool for your knit-o-matic!

Sheep Game: Mastersheep

MasterschafThe well-known game of Mastermind in a sheep version. Mastersheep, or in German (it is a German site): Masterschaf. Find the right comibination of coloured sheep.

Cute graphics of the sheep. Masterschaf can be found at the German Sheepplanet site Schafplanet.

Enjoy and proof that you have more brains than an average sheep (which are not so dumb, but I have discussed that earlier.

Turkish Mentos

Well, you probably know the Mentos commercial with the sheep (otherwise, read the post Mentos the FreshSheeper).

In Turkey they know Mentos as well.
On a Turkish radio station they play the commercial as well, with the song from the sheepmercial. In Turkish...

Baaaaaah and cool sheep are all around the world!

Sheep News: Running with sheep - Wild and woolly sheep drive thrills Reed Point crowd

In some Spanish and Italian cities, like San Fermin, they are running with bulls through the streets as part of a festival.
In Reed Point, Montana (USA), they run with sheep.

To cite one of the organisors:
"They asked me, 'What do you have to do to run with the sheep?' " Schlievert said. "I said, 'Be a little crazy.' They said, 'That's us.' "

A sure thrill, all those sheep in the streets:
Seconds later, the dust kicked up two blocks away and the sound of a record 2,219 scrambling and bleating sheep - with a few goats mixed in - grew louder.
